This information just came in from Mr. Bobby Livingston from the band Napoleon In Rags: Londonderry, NH—On May 24th, in celebration of Bob Dylan’s 73rd birthday, some of New England’s finest musicians will be performing to benefit the Brad Delp Foundation at Whippersnappers in Londonderry. Members of legendary Boston bands The Fools and Brad Delp’s own Beatle Juice are headlining the fifth annual event. According to organizers, this year’s music will have a decidedly British Invasion theme.
“Brad was great fan of all British music of that era and really speaks to his love of music and we can’t think of a better way to honor him than to play the music that we all grew up with,” said Mike Girard of The Fools
Others scheduled to appear include former Delp sideman Brian Maes, Fischer Cats, Cambridge fixture Steve Sadler and host Bobby Livingston’s band Napoleon in Rags which has performed at the benefit since 2009.
“The British Invasion had such a profound influence on not just Brad Delp, but all of us who were seduced by the mania of those years” said Livingston who usually requires only Bob Dylan songs to be played at the event. “When the Beatles and Bob Dylan crossed paths, popular culture changed forever.” Livingston hopes to help raise critical funds to support the charity.
Meg Sullivan of the Brad Delp Foundation says, “With Brad’s career path being decided 50 years ago when the Beatles changed the world, it seems fitting that this year’s 
Dylan Bash has an appropriate theme, marking the 50thanniversary of the British Invasion. The Brad Delp Foundation is thrilled that Bobby has decided to once again include us as the beneficiary of this year’s proceeds.”
There will be a $10 donation accepted as a cover charge to attend, and plenty of raffle items. The Brad Delp Foundation will receive all of the the funds raised at Whippersnappers to award music related grants, scholarships and funds for school music programs.
