Niki Luparelli is at it again. Celebrate Bastille weekend 2017 by storming Harvard Square as Niki Luparelli presents Blonde Side of the Moon. Your favorite boozy chanteuse and fearless comic maven returns to the OBERON stage to revolutionize classic rock hits backed by an bevy of burlesque beauties, and mesmerizing aerialists for the performance of the summer. Known for her sold out tributes to Bowie, Madonna, Prince, Led Zeppelin, and Blondie, Niki accompanied by the Even Pinker Floyd band, uses her classically trained and artfully abused voice honoring songs from such history making albums as Dark Side of the Moon, and The Wall. Some of New England’s most acclaimed ecdysiasts perform striptease spectaculars guaranteed to get you comfortably… you know. The Friday, July 14th, show will be the longer, more elaborate, more exclusive performance for Pink Floyd fans of the deepest dye. But if your Bastille Day celebrations conflict with that show, there will be another on Saturday, July 15th, slightly abridged, slightly earlier in the evening, and set at a faster pace. July 15, 6:00 p.m. – Sutton Public Library, Concert On The Common, 4 Uxbridge Road, Sutton, MA – Patti and I will do a one hour concert on this date, bringing songs with a summery flavor. The concert is free!
July 20, 7:30 p.m., 1794 Meetinghouse, 26 Main St., New Salem, MA – I’ll be joined by wife Patti on harmonies and percussion and old pal, Seth Connelly on stringed instruments, for two sets at this great concert venue. Tickets are $10.
July 22, 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Rapscallion’s, 195 Arnold Road, Fiskdale, MA – Now this is gonna be a different kick for me. I haven’t done a gig like this in decades. While I’ll be mixing in enough of my originals, I’ll be primarily doing covers of many of my favorite writers (Dylan, Percy Mayfield, Charlie Rich, Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Fred Neil, et. als.). Come on out and have a few beers if you’re in the area and hear me do songs you’ve pretty much never heard me do anywhere.
