MaryBeth Maes is opening for Scholarship Fundraiser

Thursday, April 21, 2011, will find my full band, MaryBeth Maes Band, will be the opening act for the Stephen Camello Music Scholarship Foundation Fundraiser, St. Michael’s Hall, 25 Elmwood Avenue, Lynn, Massachusetts at 7 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased from Mae’s husband, Brian, or Mar Beth herself, or at the door.

MaryBeth Linehan Maes has been singing, playing guitar and writing in the New England area for over 20 years.  She started as a teenager performing in Boston venues with original bands in the late 80’s.  Classically trained, the style of music she performs ranges from sweet melodic rock, to blues and hard rock.  She is currently performing with her band, “The MaryBeth Maes Band”.  She also plays solo and duo acoustic gigs. While MaryBeth does perform a wide range of rock, blues and dance covers, her gigs also feature music from her original CD “Just Like Me”, produced and recorded by her husband, Brian Maes.  The song “Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me”, written by her husband Brian Maes, has been featured on WZLX’s Sunday Morning Blues show.   MaryBeth also performs with Brian,  formerly of RTZ and Peter Wolf’s “House Party Five” and currently of “Ernie and the Automatics”.

In 2007, MaryBeth performed with RTZ at the BankAmerica Pavillion, a concert in memory of Brad Delp.   MaryBeth has also done studio work for Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith.

MaryBeth is currently part of the International House of Blues Foundation’s  “Boston Blues SchoolHouse”.  She is performing with her SchoolHouse bandmates at the House of Blues in Boston for children that come through on field-trips, teaching children about blues music through narration and song.

MaryBeth also performs children’s favorites and originals – solo – in local libraries, schools, and performs at assisted living and nursing homes.
